Pandian, Principal Consultant / Managing Director
Mr. V. S. Pandian is Principal Consultant and Licensee of Franklin
Covey, Inc. for Malaysia and Brunei.
Prior
to assuming this position, he served for a period as Group Operations
Manager and then as General Manager to a public company in Kuala
Lumpur. He has also previously been with a large public manufacturing
enterprise as Training Manager and as Deputy Manager for Coordination
and Planning. His work experience spans Corporate Planning,
Operations Management, Share Portfolio Management, and Personnel
and Administration.
Mr.
Pandian graduated from the University of Malaya in 1973 with
a B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Mathematics and a Diploma in Education.
Upon graduation, he worked for the National Productivity Corporation
in Kuala Lumpur as Trainer and Consultant for a period of nine
years specializing in Industrial Engineering, Quality and Productivity.
In
1978, while still with the NPC, he secured a scholarship from
the East-West Center in Hawaii to do his Masters in Business
Administration. He returned in 1980 with majors in Operations
Research and Finance. In 1983, he left the NPC to join the private
sector.
As
Principal Consultant of the Franklin Covey operation for Malaysia
and Brunei, Mr. Pandian serves as a lead facilitator for the
highly acclaimed Seven Habits of Highly Effective People®
training program and for other curricular such as What Matters
Most® and The 4-Roles of Leadership®.
His
client profile includes large multinational companies as well
as smaller domestic enterprises. He has facilitated the Franklin
Covey curriculum in Malaysia, Thailand and India. Feedback from
the audience in his programs has been very positive. He is able
to relate well to all levels of executive management from CEOs
down to lower level executives.
From
1997 to 2003, Mr. Pandian has conducted The 7 Habits® program
in India on an in-house basis for organizations such as Motorola
India Electronics Ltd., Novell, Sun Microsystems, Lucent Technologies,
Mahindra & Mahindra, HCL Technologies, and Sony. He has
also facilitated public workshops on The 7 Habits® in Mumbai,
Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai.
In
Malaysia he has been active in promoting and facilitating Dr.
Stephen R. Covey’s works since 1993. Some of his Malaysian clients
would be names such as Telekom Malaysia, Petronas, Infineon,
Citibank, Hong Leong Group, Seagate, Proton, and Maybank.
He
believes in people empowerment through living, and teaching,
timeless principles. Dr. Covey’s work blends well with his own
outlook and passions in life.
